INSTALLATION/MAINTENANCE
Sandstone can be sealed with an invisible penetrating sealer to assist in the ongoing clean up of the stone.
An invisible penetrating sealer can be applied prior to grouting which will facilitate easy clean up after application of the grout.
Cleaning:
Simply sweep dirt off. For a more intensive clean, you can use a pressure washer. Do not use Hydrochloric acid for clean up as this can cause minerals present in the stone to react.
Maintenance:
Just sweep when needed. Sandstone responds well to high pressure cleaning. A solution of mild detergent and water, can be applied prior to pressure cleaning.

Sandstone Stepping Stones
Home remodeling doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, you can renovate your exteriors with small yet long-term investments. One such way to add depth to your landscape is by installing high-quality stepping stones in your garden. It feels quite pleasant to walk barefoot in the garden. However, that doesn’t seem to be a practical option in monsoon and winter, when your garden is filled with mud, snow, and dirt.
Stepping stones can help create a perfect pathway in your backyard. The sandstone stepping stone is an excellent choice for your garden. Available in a broad range of colors and shapes, these steppers give you an opportunity to get creative with your landscaping project. You could install asymmetrical pavers to retain the natural beauty of your garden or get customized tiles that are cut into uniform shapes and sizes. Either way, sandstone stepping stones do wonders for your landscape.
Sandstone Stepping Stones in Different Colors and Textures
The light and earthy tones of a sandstone look stunning with plants and dark-colored furniture sets installed on your patio. If you would like to create a luxurious pathway that grabs the attention of your visitors the moment they enter your home, then sandstone stepping stones will be your ideal choice. The material isn’t that expensive. It costs you around $2 to $11 per square foot installation. You might have to pay extra if you outsource the project to the contractors. The natural stones are available in countless color palettes and sizes. You can get precision-cut geometric sandstone slabs for your patio.
Make sure that the sandstone stepping stones need to be at least 2-inches thick. There is a good chance they will remain exposed to frequent foot traffic. Try to avoid polished and honed sandstones as they can get slippery when wet. For pathways, contractors recommend sandstone with a flat and rugged surface. They offer a good grip to your feet in all seasons. The specialty of the sandstone pavers is their tough and rugged surface. They are comparatively cheaper than granite and marble. That’s because sandstone can be easily cut and customized to your specific requirements.
Build your Pathway with Durable Sandstone Stepping Stones
For stepping stones, the light and warm tones of sandstone will make a great choice, For example, blue-gray sandstone pavers go well with just about any landscape. Golden cream and soft brown are the best options for homeowners who want to give their exteriors a sleek and contemporary finish. We ordered the Himalayan Sandstone pavers as well as the crazy paving. We have only had the pavers installed so far and are about to start installing the crazy paving now. The pavers look gorgeous. The colours are just beautiful and are the colours that we have used inside our home so continue the tones out onto the terrace.
