How frequently do I need to clean travertine?

For the cleaning tools, you only need a mop and vacuum. The regular cleaning routine should be vacuuming the area first, mopping it, and rinsing the floor with a garden hose or power washer.

Stone cleaning solutions are available for travertine pavers, and they are highly recommended for your travertine floor. But, if it’s readily available, you can use any cleaning solution so long as it is not acidic. Avoid chemical solutions, as they might ruin your floor. You can use a mild abrasive cleaner for giving a nice wash to the interior floors. If you are not sure about the cleaning detergent, test it on a small area, probably on a slab installed in the corner to see how it works.

Remember that acidic cleaners can discolor your travertine pavers and damage the material substantially. Acid can dull stone pavers, so make sure you choose the tried and tested cleaning solution on your travertine floors.
