Travertine with a brushed and unfilled surface are well suited for use in a bathroom or any internal floor and wall tiles along with pool pavers, paving and pool coping.
Sealing Travertine:Travertine can be sealed with an invisible penetrating sealer to assist in the easy ongoing clean up and maintenance of the stone tiles.
An invisible penetrating sealer can be applied prior to grouting which will facilitate easy clean up after application of the grout, recommended for all of you budding home handymen.
Cleaning Travertine:Do not use Hydrochloric acid for clean up as this can cause pitting in the surface of the stone.
Maintenance of Travertine:Just sweep when needed. Travertine responds well to high pressure cleaning. A solution of mild detergent and water, can be applied prior to pressure cleaning.
